The following comes from the old PetrieWeb, and was first published in early 2002 and updated over the next couple of years. Its original purpose was to help others who were also struggling through the K1 visa process. By now things have changed so much, it probably does not have a lot of value. But here it is at least for some entertainment value. Enjoy.
Welcome to our K1 story. Cyril is from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Tracie was from Pennsylvania. We met after Tracie moved to Phoenix, AZ. Although information here is not meant to be a road map for others on their own K1 travels, we do hope that you find a few hints and tips that will remove some of the emotional stress that for us was by far the worse part of our K1 experience.
